As a surprise for my husband Larry, I secretly planned a renewal of vows ceremony with Colleen to be performed during our annual trip to St. Thomas in December 2009. We have been married 43 years and just went through one of the most stressful years of our lives.

Words can’t express how much you made my childhood dream come true. It started off as a fairytale and you made it a reality. My proposal began with my husband approaching me on a horse carrying a small box with the symbol of love to an elegant private wedding on the beach.

Although it rained on my special day, the staff at Emerald beach resort encouraged me by saying it was showers of blessings. Rudy was the perfect photographer. He really worked our pictures before the downpour. The skies were gray, but the scenery really brought out our colors especially Fernando’s tuxedo.

What I really liked about a destination wedding is how creative one can be as the arrangements were being done. Colleen, we thank you from our hearts. I admire you as the woman of God, who kept my spirits up by keeping me encouraged when the negative things and obstacles tried to surround our path. You made a fairytale wedding come true. This is to say how thankful we are that 8 months before our wedding date, we found the Simple Island Weddings website. We contacted Colleen and booked the date, time and place.

Our wedding day started out at our hotel, The Ritz Carlton, with rain and I wanted sunshine, so I wasn't feeling very happy. Dave and I spoke to Colleen at 7:30AM. She was already at the beach setting up our wedding site at Magens Bay. She said it was raining, but by the time of our wedding at 11:00 AM, the sun would be shining. We just have to wait and see what happens, and bring umbrellas.

As Dave and I were having breakfast, tears came down my cheeks, and my now wonderful husband Dave said not to cry, it will be fine, besides rain brings good luck. Do not worry, the sun will be shining.

Colleen set up the time for the hair and make-up person, Julie, to come to our room. She also arranged to have a limo pick us up. When the driver, Belinda, got us to the wedding site, there was sunshine, and we knew it would be beautiful! There were no hassles with Colleen handling everything: the cake, the flowers, sparkling cider (we're not drinkers), and the photograher, Sage, whose pictures are beatutiful.

Colleen, we thank you from our hearts in making our day just like I pictured for so many months. Having this simple island wedding was perfect, and we couldn't have had a more beautiful simple island wedding without YOU! Dave and I speak highly of you, and wish you the best in life! We are also spreading the joy you do for people and we hope to send couples to you!

We were married on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Brewer's Beach in lovely St. Thomas, USVI.

The arrangements were painless because Colleen walked us through the entire process. We had many questions throughout the planning of the wedding and all were answered via email or cell phone directly by Colleen.

Teresa and I are very happy to give a testimonial. There's only one problem, neither one of us can find the words to describe how happy we were with our wedding. We keep finding ourselves telling our friends just how perfect everything was.

We originally planned on being married on our cruise ship, but plans fell through because of timing. Needless to say, I was scrambling to find another port or venue when I came across Colleen's website for Simple Island Weddings. Once I called her, my fears were put to rest immediately and she walked me through the process of getting married in St. Thomas. Every question or concern I had was addressed immediately via email or phone.

The people she works with on St. Thomas are professional as well - our driver stopped at beautiful locations so we could take our own pictures, my bouquet was beautifully done, and our photographer took great pictures. We found out too, that Colleen had a back up driver in case the first one had trouble!

All that being said, what truly made our day special was you, Colleen. Your warmth and genuine spirit made us both feel very special and we would recommend anyone to you for their wedding.

Thank you for making our April 5th, 2009 wedding day a beautiful stress free event! We had such a blast and Magen's Bay Beach was so beautiful!! The heart in the sand was perfect, thank you again for picking the fresh bougainvillea flowers to decorate the heart ;) The bouquets were also amazing and just like I had imagined. I don't even know how to say thank you enough. My wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to you. You recommended Papa Bear - he was great. He was standing right off the ship on time - actually, he was early. He was so much fun for us. He not only took us to the court house, but made sure we stopped for some pictures that overlooked Magens Bay. He played music for us, and also let us know some of the history of different things on the island.

Then, once we got to the beach - to be greeted by a hug from you, even though you didn't know us, was such an easing gesture. Since everything has to be done online and with a couple phone conversations between the two of us, you really don't know what to expect. You were wonderful at taking the stress out of some of it, and reassuring us that things would work out just perfectly.

Thank you so much for taking into consideration what kind of flowers I liked - my bouquet was amazing. I loved it! You made the wedding so relaxing and laid back - just the kind of people Matt and I are. The sand ceremony looked great, and even still looks great now that we are at home. I think the sparkling cider just topped everything off, since it was starting to get warm.

I have to say that your suggestion on getting married at 10AM was a very smart one. The beach wasn't too crowded for the wedding, but by the time it was done, the people started rolling in, and the weather started to really warm up. It couldn't have been a more amazing day with an amazing scenery.

Papa Bear was, of course, on time, and made it very well known that we had just gotten married when we left the beach. He even took us to another lookout for more pictures on the way back. Lunch was great. It all went - just how Matt and I would want it to go. It's a day we will never forget, some emotional times, some laughs, but most of all a commitment that means more to us then anything.

Thank you for getting our marriage certificate done so quickly - it even beat us home. Colleen, we can't thank you enough for everything you did for us. We will never forget that day and you will always be part of it.
